Comedian, Blogger, and now Author Chris Coen talks with Brian about writing his debut comedy book Stuff To Read While You Sh*t Chris talks about his writing process for stand-up and blogging. How to maintain a blog and how much of a pain in the ass it is to write a book. There is also a reading from a couple of chapters at the end so stick around to listen about how the comic from Zaynesville, Ohio became a published author.
Jason Banks is a great comedian who currently resides in Westerville. He regularly hosts the Columbus Funny Bone open-mic and has worked with names such as Bruce Bruce, Gary Owen, and Joey Diaz. His joke writing is something to be admired and is outrageously funny. Before coming to Columbus he learned his stand-up chops and hosting skills at the Funny Stop club. Since arriving he has been adding a unique style to a scene that he loves. His insight and work in stand-up gives a lot of information about writing, performing, and social media which you can hear all about below!
Musician Sarah Cooperider is a talent whose charming personality and off the cuff humor has gotten her chances to work with LGBT, Pride, burlesque groups and music shows all around Columbus. She talks about her drive to be creative and pursue music. It’s her bravery to do what she wants that has gotten her to a better place in her life and given her tremendous success. Listening to her talk about being honest with herself and that her real goal in life is to be happy is inspiring. Having the commitment to pursue what makes you happy is rare and especially impressive considering Sarah’s background which you can hear all about below!
